It was a beautiful day on the water with some great fishing! The bite was never steady.. they came in waves, but when the bite was on it was ON! Today we stayed in the lower basin fishing mostly the trench and area around Macks bar. The Hi-Fly was the bait of chioce again with the T-4 flatfish picking up a few fish as well. Slower speeds seemed to be key today.. we trolled between 1.2 and 1.3 for the majority of the day. Stalling the motor on lite striking fish helped us pick up several that otherwise wouldnt have held on! Big thanks to the newlyweds Mason and Mary Tabler for fishing with me today! Mary caught her first ever Lake Trout today! Great day!
