Fished Lake Stevens Saturday morning, water temp was 43 to 44. Started along the east side, then west side no luck, cruised aereator w/no luck. Decided to hit the north side, fished close to shore in 40-50 feet of water, hit a nice big rainbow using an Apex in rainbow pattern w/ front hook tipped with a maggot and trailing hook with fire corn, was on leaded line with one color out. The fish was 22" and almost 2#.
Otherwise very slow, saw maybe 8 other boats out, didn't see any nets hitting the water. We didn't see any fish on the surface until we were east of the aereator in about 150' of water. No luck on the downriggers set up for kokanee, not even a bump.
Was great to get out on the lake though and spend some quality time wiith my son!
Tried to post a pic, but no luck, not sure why I can't post pics?
