My buddy 1SG invited me to go fishing on his boat at American Lake on Thursday evening. We were expecting bad weather and it was actually really nice out there. Water was calm and no other boats on the lake. We trolled around Silcox Island and marked fish from 40ft to 70ft deep. We knew the water column would be too cold for Koks at that depth, so we moved over to the Lake City Boat Ramp Area. Thought we would try to flatline at Sunset targeting a hungry trout. Sure enough it worked. Picked up a nice rainbow just over 21 inches using a Pink UV Dodger and a Uncle Bill's Minishrimp tipped with white corn. Trolled on surface, no down rigger, 65ft behind the boat. Only one fish in the boat but it was a nice one. Hopefully the weather warms up and we can start getting them Koks!! Thanks 1SG for taking me out there it was alot of fun!!
