Today's trip on Lake Chelan was a blast!! We started first thing in the morning up at the Yacht Club hoping to get a shot at "The Big One." The Bite was hot, but we had a heck of a time keeping fish on! For every fish that hit the net we lost 4. When the action started to slow in the deep water we moved down to the lower basin. We fished Macks bar, the trench, and Minneapolis beach.. we found those lite biters down there too, but our catch ratio was much better. Just like last week, stalling the boat and working the downrigger to get those lite biters to hold on really helped us! The bait of choice today was the Ace Hi-Fly rigged with a smile blade and baited with a fillet strip! Trolled between 1.2 and 1.4 mph and as always keep the bait within 5 feet of bottom.
