As follow up to Mike's report. We caught fish on Pautzke's Fire Bait in American Wildfire and Mallow Balls O' Fire. We also used the Marshmallow and worm trick. Slip sinkers with a 30" leader worked best. It was definitely flurry and lull. The Channel Cat was a great bonus! We really baptized Aaron's boat!

Aaron and Mike, Nice catch! Anton, do know if the larger fish have been planted? Assuming there is a jumbo or triploid trout plant at some point.

I spoke with Cory at the hatchery. They stuck in a couple of hundred bigs. I have heard a few tales of outlandish bigs, but no pictures to verify it.

If a guy was to get after those bigs next week. How would you go about catching a few?

I'd troll flies or small rapalas. The action will be slower than bait, but you can catch and release to sort your way through the planters. All the bait presentations are likely to limit you on planters long before you contact any of the bigs. Mike got his bigger catfish on Firebait. My guess is the bigger fish are about 1%.
