Didn't get to post this on Sat., been a hectic weekend with a clam dig on Monday(last one of the year, only day on north beaches) , beautiful weather, sunny and warm, easy digging with limits of big clams in no time. This fish hit trout nuggets on the bottom, just over 4 lbs., a twin to the fish Melanie caught on Sunday also on the bottom.Warer temp. was 54.Had a couple of hits trolling on Sat. but no hookups.Fishing wasn't real hot, only 5 fish for two of us on Sat., and 4 on Sunday, but each catching a big one each day made it certainly worthwhile. Had to hurry home to drive to Kirkland to video record a memorial show for Peter Bergman of the Firesign Theatre who passed away from lukemia in early March. Stopped by Lake Quinalt while we were in the area for razor clams to check out the lake for opening day, level was up from all that rain but water looked clear and like glass. Wetting my appetite for next Saturday, esp. with the jet skiers making Nahwatzel a real rodeo. That no towing anything or not using jet ski rules on Quinalt makes me long for the spring opener.Bob R
