I fished Amber for the first time this year. Since the rehab of the lake a few years ago, I have had a hard time getting Amber dialed back in. Today was a quality vs. quantity day. I fished for 5 hours with 3 fish to hand, 2 lost and 3 more strikes. However, the big fish of the day was an amazing 18 inch cutthroat with big heavy shoulders on it. I'm guessing it would have hit the 2 pound mark. My other 2 fish were another cutt in the 15 inch range, picture attached, and a rainbow in the 16 inch category. All fish came on a Damsel fly. Other fishermen experienced similar success for the day.

Awesome, good to finally read a report on Amber! I've always liked the cutties in that lake. Upon seeing those beautiful colors you'd swear you were on the St. Joe or floating the Clark Fork!
