Dad and I fished Liberty last Friday. We went in the morning (7AM) and had fun. The lake seems to be mostly Perch and Bluegill but I caught about a 1lb cat that fought a lot. There is a tiny little bay with some overhanging trees nearby that we tried. That's where the cat hit. Tons a perch and bluegill in that area. All small. We tried for Bass but not any bites. The pads at the south end of the lake look promising but I'm not sure there are that many Bass there. When I was a kid I remember catching Trout there. Are there still any there? We've fished Liberty few times this year and none yet. We like Liberty because it's only a ten minute drive but I wish the fish were bigger. Oh, and someone from DFW stopped us for a survey. First time that's ever happened. Have fun!
