Stopped by Pine Lake this morning around 6:45. It was already packed. Battle - fishing to the extreme over there, docks, shore, boats, you name it, so I decided to try Beaver Lake for a little more peaceful fishing. Fished from shore at the boat launch from 7 - 9:30 or so. Hooked up with quite a few smaller rainbows (7-9"), landed 4. Hooked up with a larger one in the 12-14" range but lost it right at shore when he spit the hook. Couple other guys were fishing next to me starting around 8:30 - didn't see them catch any. Used worms initially but kept hooking small perch, so I went chartreuse power eggs on both my poles and consistently had bites every 15-20 minutes. Can't wait to head back with a boat next week to try for the big boys.
