Don't know if anyone remembers Thompson lake many years ago, but it was full of bass. You could easily catch over 100 per day, but they were all stunted, under a pound. It's neat that you are a purist, and I turn most of mine loose, too. But I do take a very small percentage to eat. There will be those that condemn in every setting, but you are right: No one should have to defend legal behavior, or explain every time about the merits of C&R. It's a great movement, but not a religion.
