What a horrible opening day here. Are family has already decided next year, of the first time in well over 10+ years we will not be spending next years opening weekend here (as i can see many others had concluded as well beings there were very few people camped along the lake as apposed to previous years). Fished from 7am-3pm and between all of us we had 6 poles in the water... 1 bite in the morning and that way it all day. Watching all of the dozens of other campers up and down the lake and the boats on the water (100+ people that I could see from where i was?) I think i saw no more then a dozen fish caught. So disappointing. Fished with worms/marshmallows, power bait and power eggs off all different colors, bobbers with worms, spinners and nothing seemed to spark the interest of the fish. Hard to believe they had planted so many and yet nothing was biting. Just down the road at park lake my aunt and uncle limited out in about 3 hours (as i found out later).
