Had heard good things about Whitestone having 3-5 pound bass in there that are doing "very well". Unfortunately we didn't have any luck with the bass. Tossed about everything we had at them. Wind picked up and was down right nasty so that seemed to make things difficult. This lake still proves difficult for me. Next time I go there I'm bringing something for the dozens of catfish I saw swimming around. Smallest looked around 12 inches and largest over 20.

There was one other guy loading up when we were and we BS'd for a good 20 minutes. This guy loved to talk and some stories seemed far fetched but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. He talked about being a bass tournament fisherman and how he had a less then satisfying day on the water. After saying that he mentioned catching six bass. Smallest around 1.5 pounds, several 2 pounders and a 3 and 4 pound. He mentioned using a hula grub and tubes. He also mentioned that the blossoms weren't there yet and that in about two weeks the bass should be moving to the shallows for spawning. He showed us several pictures on his phone of the fish he'd caught today. I had no luck with tubes.

Well I think this lake still proves to be very tough for me. I've yet to catch a bass there but I've only been there twice. Guess I'll try to get up there in a few weeks.
