Tried Trolling for some trout on the 6th. Had a few bites after a few hours. Got a little bored so a threw on a rapala and casted up around the docks while trolling close to shore. 2nd cast i had the biggest fish come up and pulverize my bait on top of the water. This bass had a huge wake behind him and bent my ultra light in half. His fins where sticking out of the water like some sort of prehistoric predator. i failed to set the hook properly i just sat there with my jaw wide open in a daze. After missing him i felt remorse for two days. I've heard of 5lb bass being taken out of here, but this thing was massive. i probably wouldn't of been able to get him in with my small trout rod anyway. Im sure he'll still be there when i go back when i spool my reels up with 20lb test! Its on......this fish is mine!
