Was a slow Day of Kok fishing. I didn't hit the water until 0930 or later, so that was partially to be expected. Not as many fish out there this year, but they are BIG. caught and released a bunch of stock bows while on the kokanee hunt. After the wind picked up enough that I didnt want to troll in the kayak any more, I switched to small mouth fishing. Landed a few rock bass with one weighing over a pound. Largest one I've ever seen! Had one average 1-2lb smallie on, but came unbuttoned before I put it in the boat. Was a fun day! Enjoy the vid. Was shot from my go pro with the head harness. Tight Lines!!

Nice video! your kayak is set up better than most boats I see on the lake. What part of the lake was this?

Thanks for the compliments! It was just south of Silcox Island and about 100 yards roughly from the west shore line. I didn't mark many fish on the FF between the island and VA. Most were just north or just south of the the island. They were all deep too. 50' seemed to be a reoccurring depth.

The water looked calm. were you on a flat line?

The bite in the vid was on a flat line. I typically run one flat, and one on the down rigger (just like in the vid). Talking to some others on the water, they were picking up scattered fish @ 40'ish on down riggers. Last year the down rigger line would out fish the flat line 4-1. We'll see how the rest of the season plays out...

Wondering! Was wondering if you got sunburn! I also saw your brother's posts on catching the same bass over and over on Wauhop. Think I'll go out and start tagging those bass...

Who you calling a nub you nub!?! Yeah I got burnt. My ears, nose, and hands all got it a bit. We'll start your Waughop bass tagging venture here real soon. I need some LMB points on my Angler of the Year board!
