Did not set the alarm as I did not intend on fishing. Woke up at 3:45 and seriously thought about getting up and going but decided not to. Woke up at 5:10 and the birds were singing and all happy and junk so I figured that I would give it a whirl.
Headed out to Ohop and skipped all the brush and logs and blowdown and junk and went directly for the docks. Fished one whole side, primarily, with a spinnerbait but added a little jig fishing in.
Switched sides of the lake and I told myself that I am not going to get away from my bread and butter, so, I wrapped the spinnerbait rod up and set 'er aside and fished with my green and brown jig with a green pumpkin Rage Tail trailer. Finally, found some fish. Caught two, had another good bite that made me clasp down on my rod a little harder as it really hit hard, and then lost another that I just screwed up. It was about the size of the smaller one in my photo. I horsed it up and went to slide the net under it right as it decided to jump. The fish came out of the water and spit my jig but because I was horsing him up and timed with his jump he went about two feet out of the water. I jabbed the net out as far as I could really fast and mister bass clunked off of the metal part of it and flopped out, lol.
It was actually kind of funny looking, that whole episode. Meh, I release them all, anyway, that just saved my the trouble:)
That was that, I suppose. Water temps. were a low of 59ish, and about 62.5 when I left at 11:00 (4.5 hours of fishing or a little more)
