Sun came out nicely in the afternoon afterr a sketchy morning, so I took an extended lunch to wet the line from the Kirkland shoreline. Glad I did - now I have my first lake wa 5-star fishing report. Caught 5 smallies with the big one approaching 4 lbs (estimate) and the others between 1 - 2 lbs. Nice change from the snubbing I endured from the bass (not even a bite) while fishing from my kayak over the weekend. I resorted to catching perch from the dock just to remind myself what a bite feels like.

Anyways ... the first 3 smallies today including the larger fish were caught on a purple with gold flake gitzit. The second two were on 4 1/4" watermelon gold flake Bass Pro Shops Stik-O-worm.

Saw a 3 -5 lbr on a bed but she was not interested in my offerings. Also saw a largemouth, but again none of my approaches yielded results.

Sight fishing became too tough once the wind picked up around 1:30, so called it a day. All fish released unharmed.

Tight lines,
BigTangle
