Would really liked to have reported a banner afternoon on Amber, but alas, I cannot. Two guys in my drift boat, one fishing top (which I, as a nymph-o-maniac, didn't recommend), the other fishing chironomids, and no bumps. Tried flies throughout the water column, flies that normally prove sovereign for this time of year, up, down, and all-around, and nothin'. But it was a beautiful, albeit windy, day on the lake. Better luck next time.
