Fished the derby yesterday with no luck. Was on the water from 5:30 to Noon. Rated a two because of all the other boats who were able to bring in a couple fish. Overall everyone I talked to said it was a rather slow day for the annual derby. Fished a 4in flasher while changing up wedding rings and spoons and some Dick Nite scents. I think I may have missed the bite, but Id like to learn how to tackle these kokanee for the future.

you were probably doing it correctly, I have been killing kokanee everywhere all year, and I only got one all day on the stevens derby. It was VERY VERY slow

I dont think you missed the bite I did manage some. It was tough though. I found white shoe peg corn is the best bought at any food store canned by green giant. There has been alot of pressure the last few weeks on the lake.

Lots of pressure and high water temp - heard most fish came from 15-20 feet.
