For as beautiful day as it was fishing was slow. However, we hoped the LMB were finally on the move and they were, though only the peeps.
Water temp was 62.4-63.0 degrees F. Air temp - about 60-62. Sometimes calm, sometimes brisk breeze that really pushed the boat.
We could only find one fish in deeper water, so targeted the lagoon. Saw many small bass sunning and schooling. Good sign. Had the most fun on top waters when the water was calm and sun high. Go figure.
K. was sick and stayed home. Bummer. P. boated seven (4 bass and 3 pumpkinseeds) and I boated 5 (4 bass and 1 cuththroart.) Who needs Powerbait when the trout hit a large topwater bass plug?
Any day on the lake is better than a day at work.
