Fished Crescent Lake today from about 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM with wife and 6 year old son from canoe. Not a nibble. Used night crawlers, corn, rooster tails, crawdad shallow and deep diving lures, and small spoons. Heard a couple of big fish jump and the far end of the lake, so they are in there. The biggest downer was being worried about being shot. Hunters on the other side of the treeline were firing shotguns left and right, we could hear them cocking their guns they were so close. The real kicker was when some other idiots starting shooting a semi-auto M16 in the farmers field from the lake parking lot and we could hear bullets ricocheting off of rocks. There are houses up on the hill, not to mention us in the lake and potentially people in the river and on the road that could have been hit by one of the uncontrolled ricochets. Another group of odd people floated by us on their boat blaring a screeching cat sound clip.... weird people out in them there hills. Anyway, we all agreed not to fish here again, to many other places out there.
