We got a later start then planned and was at Blackman's about 10AM. Our first time at Blackman's - great clear water, but the boat launch area is pretty shallow. A wonderful clear, sunny day to start the holiday weekend. My youngest son joined us today -- the first time fishing with the boys (Dad and older brother). 10mins into trolling we have a trout on line, but loose it at the boat -- my older son (6yrs.) is learning to use a landing net from withn our boat. No problem, he's learning to fish and there's bound to be plenty of fish to get. Sure enough there is plenty of fish and fishing action. At the end of 3 hours of trolling, we connected on 9 trouts on our lines, but only able to land 4. Some of these trouts where breaking water surface after being hooked ... a great show for my youngest son (2.5 yrs). All good for us, and ensuring that others (or us on a return trip) will have fun with these trouts. We'll come back to Blackman's for more fun. We were in a rush to get home (nap time for my youngest) that we forgot to take a picture while at the lake, so I took a picture at home prior to cleaning and cooking.
