MY wife's first cast in 60' of water as I pulled up to get stuff out and ready was a three pound or so Rainbow. She caught it with a craw colored crankbait. She did not want to keep the fish so the only pic was of it in the water.
We targeted smb but did not do too great. We got three total in 3 hours of fishing. She got the biggest bass, as well, on the same crank. I caught mine, a little smaller than hers, on a dropshot with a Sniper Snub.
Caught a ton of rock bass, typical, I know, but it was fun for her as she has been awfully busy this year and this was her first trip of the season where she actually caught fish.
Water temps were 61 to 64.5 and I did not see a single bed.
