Don't waste your time on this lake. The bald guy catching fish here is either taking them home, DA, or using pics from a different lake. This lake is just full of algae!

@djb1989: This is my childhood lake, so I can personally attest based on the background in the photos that Nate (aka 'the bald guy' you referenced in your post) takes that he is indeed fishing from Waughop Lake. It's a beautiful lake. Take a complete walk around it and study this lake, it's a very beautiful environment.. Regarding the fishing: Try using some nightcrawlers, live plump ones. Don't use plastics in this lake. Gold spooons or bright white or solid silver rooster tails might be good to try, too. Remember with all the algae in this lake, the fish have to see thru all that goo to see their food, so use sparkly, moving lures if not living wriggly things like crickets or worms. Try again and let us know what happens, and don't give up! They are in there, however it's a combination of different factors that determines your success in catching them. Also, right now LMB's are nesting and may be reluctant to leave their nests. Nate may very well have took them home but I feel confident that he's following the WA fishing regulations. Good luck :0)
