Took the family fishing at Conconully Resevoir over Memorial Day Weekend. We trolled and did some still fishing and caught 7 fish, 2 rainbows and 5 kokanee. All of them were caught trolling a wedding ring with a piece of worm using leaded line about 20 yards behind the boat. We went out at various times during the day for about an hour. Kids just don't have the patience to sit still in the boat for very long. Our best action came on the North end and along the west bank during the middle of the day with the sun shining bright in the sky. The fish stopped biting when the sky turned overcast and we didn't get any strikes in the evening when the fish were surfacing all around us. The leaded line was taking our bait deeper than where the fish were feeding. Biggest we caught was a 15-inch rainbow and two of the kokanee were 9-inches. The other 4 were around 12 inches. Tried using green Powerbait, but the fish just kept stripping it off the hook.
