Friend and I went out looking to see what the largies were up to. Got there around 9:00 am. Place was crawling with people. Would be nice if folks would not park in the line up spot and have boats prepped before they back down the ramp.
LMB not very active yet-nothing on drop shot, minimal hits on spinners and nothing on bobber and worm. Very lethargic bite. Did see a few good sized pairs cruising the shallows. Looks like they are looking for spawning grounds or something.
Tried the perch holes. Nothing. Ah well.
Caught a monstrous 10 inch rainbow and a 9 inch cutthroat. Beautiful and tasty. Bow was on worm and bobber and cut was on a #6 blue fox gold blade with red tail. Both were very aggressive and a good fight.
Not a mind blowing day, but once again this lake delivered a day without empty hands. Others who were targeting trout were limiting in a couple hours.
Cheers!
