Fished all weekend for tigers and didn't get too much to show for it. I went out to Newman Thursday evening with AJ's dad and we each found 2 bass. Two of them were on top water, and the biggest one AJ's dad got at about three pounds. He also got 2 looks from Tigers, one hit right at the boat and missed. And another rolled pretty hard on his bait 10 feet from the boat and also missed.

I went back out by myself Saturday afternoon and of course with nobody around this time I put a couple small 33" and 34" Tigers in the boat within a half an hour of each other. After about 5 hours on Newman and only seeing those 2 fish in that short feeding window I headed over to Hauser and met up with DBlood and we tried our luck on the night bite over there. Fished from about 8:30-11pm and didn't see a fish. It was fun still and I look forward to getting a big top water night time tiger when the water heats up a bit more. Thanks Darrin for taking me out there.

Sunday morning a buddy came along with AJ's dad and I and we hit Newman again. Between 3 of us over 6 hours on the lake we managed one nice Crappie, and 1 follow from a nice mid 40's Tiger. Not really hungry, just curious, got to the boat and sunk away.

The Tiger bite is getting close, it's just not quite there consistently yet. Now maybe some Pike next weekend... Or Evergreen Tigers? What do you think Kevin?

Mark,
I think you should go fish the POR and let the rest of us know if there are really any pike left. Mr. Conner say's they are still in there. Maybe you can prove it to the rest of us.

Amish.haha. I will give you a call in a bit.

Nope, I don't even own a crappie jig! I can't take credit for your crappie. Last time you fished the shore you got pics Kevin! I got some really bad pictures with the only old camera I could find with a timer on it. What a scramble that is. Next time I will just use my phone and get pics with the fish in the net.

Thanks Craig! I look forward to seeing your report on the river. I brought an old HP camera we had laying around that had a timer on it. I wanted to bring the wife's good camera but couldn't find it. Turns out the old camera didn't have a memory card in it so it stored the pics on the internal camera memory. When I plug it in it says no pics found even though I can see the pics... I would like the pics to be on my computer but what can you do... At least I didn't catch anything huge and get stuck with no pics! Good luck on the river!
