Started mid morning, somehow got to the dock with nobody else out. Casted out from teh dock with no activity for a while...decided to switch to worms off the bottom. Not long after switching, caught a HARD hit. Fough the fish to the dock, got a good look at it. Man was it beautiful...a roughly 16 incher, nice colors. Must not have had the hook set very well because as soon as I got it out of the water, it spit the hook before my fiancee could grab it and off she went. Would have liked at least a picture...would have been better on the bbq..but worth it anyway. Saw lots of feeding on the top over by the lily pads and quite a few bluegill starting to hover around the dock, as well. Algae could be a problem here this summer, looking at the blooms.
