This report is for the both weekends. On Saturday my buddy and I headed out to fish at coulon primarily targeting smallmouth. On that same day there was a derby going on with 2,000 trout in the netting. Later in the day though they released all the trout that werent caught into coulon. We threw rattletraps and gold kastmasters and caught out limit quick. 15 mins or so. A lot of people were out there too. THe next day on Sunday we try for trout again. Constantly getting hits and hookups. Caught our limit and decided to fish. Saw a guy by us hook up into a 3.5 smallmouth on a slip bobber with a worm but he never landed it. After the limit we decided to bass fish and flipped and pitched and caught 3 1-3 pounders within 1 hour. Dropshotted and caught some little ones nothing really worth talkin about. Found 5 more beds again. But just little males guarding eggs. we then head back to fish for trout again but the action died down and i think it either has been fished out, they are really finicky or they have moved off. Hopefully they are there next weekend 1,000 plus trout were RELEASED
