My good buddy Gordon has been at it again! He's been terrorizing the Jumbo perch in Yakima county's Myron Pond as of late. We have found that nearly everything that swims will attack and eat my custom made Damzel Nymph Jigs, and those fat Myron perch are no exception! Last fridays big crappie foray to Long Lake in Grant county was a perfect example of how these Nymph jigs perfectly mimic aquatic Nymphs, the primary forage of many different species of fish. Gordy is closing in on having caught over 50 perch over 10" out of Myron Pond this spring. I'm excited about the prospects of field testing them this coming winter ice fishing if it gets cold enough. We have been threading motor oil colored Damzel Nymphs on 1/16th oz black jigheads with a yellow eye and tight lining them along the bottom on 6 lb test line. So far we have caught slab crappie over 2 pounds, Bass over 4 pounds, lots of big trout, big bluegills and jumbo perch. Gordy has molded a new Helgramite imitatation that looks awesome in the water and should tear em' up too. The largemouth photo below is of a 4 pound plus bass that I caught. It took a 3" cinnamon/smoke Matador sculpin jig last friday. You can see the chartruse tail sticking out of its's mouth! I'm still looking for lure field testers so get a hold of me @ dobberdeluxe@yahoo.com if you are interested in trying out these Damzel Nymph jigs and Big bass Matador Sculpins. Good luck brothers. jiggy
