I was in the neighborhood after attending my sister's graduation party (yah SIS!) and decided to stop by here. I'm kinda looking for a secret lake so I've been scouting small secluded waters. I was fishing with a Carolina rigged 5" French Fry, purple w/pearl belly and blue flake & a 2/0 Gamakatsu EWG worm hook, 1/2 oz brass bullet w/bead and double brass clackers. I couldn't actually get down to the water to get a temp, but the water was very stained. I could see some pretty good roiling in the water so there is definitely something in there, and it bit my line a couple times, but I couldn't quite seem to get the hook-set timing right. I only stayed about 30 mins and left. I might venture back and try it again.

The good:
This place is probably someones secret lake. Someone was leaving right when I got there. My guess is that 2 people being here at the same time hasn't happened much and the lack of discarded garbage etc says that people are rarely here. If there are big ones lurking here they probably never see a lure.

The bad:
Unknown legality. I just don't know if it's OK to fish here which is why I didn't stay long. As stated above, people have been here, but not many. The pull in area off 35th is big enough for a couple cars (gps is 47.870539/-122.1838) but has a large double arm gate that is locked preventing you from driving in more than maybe 60 feet. It is NOT posted private property or no trespassing.

Access. I was not able to reach the lake proper. The areas off the access road are very overgrown and I'm not as fit as when I was young so I only ventured a couple hundred yards. Plus I was just in athletic shoes and shorts, and the place is full of prickly wild berry vines. You might be able to reach the real lake area from here if you are willing to rough it. The backwater area is pretty accessible, though either a long net or gear with enough backbone to horse your catch airborne would be necessary.
