Tried for largemouth today, using plugs, worms, jigs; my only success was using a spinnerbait in the shoreline weeds. Only got 2 bass although one was 17", maybe a 3 lbs. I was surprised to catch 2 trout on the big spinnerbait. A less than 10" trout grabbed a Size 1 hook on the spinnerbait that seemed to be as big as he was. Later in the morning I got another trout on the spinnerbait. I never would have expected trout on a bass bait like that.
