6/12/2012 10:02:00 AMThanks. St. Claire is a long drive, especially when I have to go via the McKenna way to pick up my son, but I do enjoy fishing that lake. I usually take south I-5. As far as Tapps goes, I never tried fishing shallow at all because last Friday I never got a bite shallow. Like I said in my report, I marked alot of fish in 18-20 ft on the bottom. But I also marked alot of fish suspended. Whether they were smallies, or some other species, I don't know. What I do know was the bite was tough. Hope you do well.
