It happened again, I get a text at work from my wife telling me how nice it is out and do you want to go fishing after work! Man, do I love my wife! It was a toss up between Eloika or Lake Spokane, didn't want to deal with the cabbage at Eloika so up to Lake Spokane we went! Got the launch around 6 pm and the water level was still high and running fast against the dock, just like a couple weeks ago, so on the boat bumpers went and launched. Headed up to our favorite smallie spot and found 4 boats already there! Dinked around there for about 30 min with no bites so around the corner to another spot, and after engulfing one of my wife's yummy veggie sandwiches I tossed in some reeds on a point and something stripped my plastic worm completely off! That has never happened before, so on goes another worm, tossed in the same area and bam! Fish on! Saw that it was a decent one and had my trusty net gal boat the fish for me, reached down to get my digital scale and guess what, the battery was dead from the on button stuck (had to be one of my Grandson's). So we'll call her 4 1/2 lbs... And that was the only fish we caught all evening! So, Ha, all you fine fishermen out there that think I catch lots of fish, not all the time! I'm going to start including pictures of the weapons we use. Happy fishing!
