Trolled Star Lake for the first time with no luck. Tried a fly on top, a flatfish deep and a miracle lure deep. The wind made it difficult to troll in my 10 foot raft so after an hour, I anchored up in 46 feet of water and fished off the bottom with power bait, the top with fly and I jigged a worm around a bit with no action whatsoever. Never saw a single fish jump even. Saw 2 other boats trolling the cliff on the eastside of the lake with no luck. Got back to the boat launch to find a gentleman posted up with 2 fish on his stringer, fishing off the bottom with floating pink power bait eggs. He mentioned that he frequently limits out there and that he was there the other night with 5 other people, shoulder to shoulder in this lake's minuscule access point, a 20 foot wide gravel drive, that's it. It's too bad that the lake is 95% surrounded by houses.

I have tried fishing the access when no one is there, but someone always shows up right away. IMO, it doesn't even fish two people well let alone 4 or 5. Also, you are in the way if someone wants to launch watercraft. When trolling I have caught all my fish on the launch side of the lake. Thanks for the report.
