Pretty mellow day out on Armstrong. Tried some spinners and cranks at the northeast end with no luck. After bottom fishing trout (we landed a couple) we switched over to the west side of the lake, just south of the downed tree. Anchored up about 15 feet off the shore and started casting worms to about a foot off the shore. Caught a few smaller LMB by the pads over there. Bobbing night crawlers. My buddy had a handful of hits on plastics but didn't manage to snag anything. Fun afternoon of fishing though.
