Hit Echo lake (in Shoreline behind Costco) this evening. In the water by 6:00 pm, out by 9:00pm. Started in my tube at the beach area, worked my way SLOWLY counterclockwise. Took me 3 hours to circle the lake, like I said, SLOWLY.

Water was very stained, about 3' visibility. Started off throwing a white spinner bait. No hits. Went to a drop shot rig, with a sniper bait, watermelon colored? I fished that the rest of the night. Usually that will prodcue SOMETHING...
Anyway, I couldn't pull a fish to save my life. I did have a fair amount of very little strikes. I was pitching it into the shoreline, or near the pads. Wait... twitch twitch... slow retrieve, stop.. more twitch, yadah yadah.
These fish felt about 4-5". woopie.
Guy in a rubber raft was trolling a Panther Martin, had nice strike as he went by. Lost the fish. Saw about 1/2 doz. bankies working the bank. I did see 2-3 presumably trout jump or roll over.
Very slow. I've only fished this lake maybe twice since about 1977, funny to be hear after 35 years.
