Had a very hard time finding the fish today. We trolled from the launch over the west side of the lake and then dropped lines to the fish. They weren't biting. We moved all along the west shore using this method without luck. After a few hours of that I moved us over to the east shore and the bite was on. We only had about 45 minutes left before we had to leave but the kids each picked up 2 rainbows using Yellow Garlic Marshmallows and Worms. They each had a 15" and a 12". We were about 30' from shore and the fish were biting at about 15-20' depth. When it was time to go I tried to fire up the Optimax to jet back to the launch but the battery wouldn't cooperate so we had to use the electric motor. Took us another 30 minutes to get back to the launch but we were in a good mood after catching the fish so we just kicked back and enjoyed the slow ride.
