Steel Lake Report – Tuesday, 06-26-12
This was almost a mirror image of yesterday evening. I got to the lake by 8:30PM again. Not a creature was stirring in the air or in the water. Was hoping the action would start at 9:00PM.
Like clockwork, it does. Rod tip signals a very subtle take and I don’t hesitate to set the hook. Voila, fish on, fish in, a relief for sure, that brings a grin.
Once again, like the previous evening, no more takers after the first and only take. I switch to bass mode and they are nowhere to be found. I think I might need to change my name to islandtrout or islandtrucha, lol (The word for trout in Spanish is trucha (true - chah)
