Thanks for the props guys. Chumming with cheap canned or frozen corn and getting picked up using white bread with just a little vanilla and then mashed into a doughball. They just can't leave it alone.

Nice Carp ill have to try out your strategy. I did the same but near seward park last summer. i nailed a 22lb carp kinda by where they hold the hydroplanes during seafair. It took me 5 minutes with a salmon pole but 6 pound line and a small trout net... Good job though If you want to catch some huge carp go up to greenlake you will nail them there and big ones. Ive seen 30 pound carp come out of there and you can eat the carp out of greenlake once a month

Sweet! Pictures look even better on the net. I tried the bread you gave me today but I only got a few takes and I don’t think they were Carp as the pull of the line was different. When I closed bail and set the hook-nada. It totally died about an hour after you left. I did notice several families come to the dock and feed the Geese and Ducks. Looks as though these Carp have been eating bread all along.

I don't think it is legal to chum or use corn for chum in Lake Washington. Trout and other fish can not digest it and it will kill them. Might double check the regs on this one.

Chumming in Lake Washington is legal, page 68 for reference: All Species-chumming permitted, there is only one other lake where this can be done in WA. The thing about corn is not quite true. I have read many studies about this and there is no real evidence for this. Here is one study on this:

“Commission fisheries biologist Tom Bender at Benner Spring Fish Research Station (PA) conducted a study in 1992 that examined the impact of corn on trout. For the study, two groups of hatchery rainbow trout were held in separate tanks and tested for 54 days. In one tank, 20 rainbow trout (average size 8.3 inches) were fed a diet of whole kernel corn. In the second tank, 20 rainbow trout of the same size were fed a standard trout pellet diet.

During the 54 day study period, no mortalities occurred from trout of either study group. However, study results did show that the trout fed with a corn diet did not digest the corn particularly well. The growth observed by the corn-fed trout during the study period was only about half of that observed from the trout that were fed the standard trout pellet diet.

The conclusion from this study was that there appears to be little reason for concern about the short term health hazards for rainbow trout when whole kernel corn is used for bait. Although there are better diets for trout than whole kernel corn, this study confirms that mortality does not occur when trout ingest whole kernel corn.”

I read the rules and the only rule for chumming is for game fish, not food fish. I took that to mean bottom chumming with corn and such should be okay.
