Headed out to try my backyard lake in Nolte State Park for some kokanee. Tried my usual dodger/hoochie, dodger/wedding ring and didn't even get a bite. Rigged up with dodger and red teaser and got hit by a 10" koke at 15' near the inlet. Half-hour later a 12" cutthroat along the east shore in 20' of water. Surface water temps 69-70 degrees. There were too many rafts and inner-tubes to be enjoyable, so packed it in.

Had to share a sign marking No Parking area at Wilderness Lake (Maple Valley) on the 4th. of July. No explanation is needed! My computer wouldn't let me post on Wednesday, but I figured all kokanee lookers will see it here. I pulled 3-11" kokes from 24' to the right of the launch. Surface water temp was 68 degrees.
