Spent two days there. The lake is fully stocked as of now. Fishing with bait really provides no challenge you could limit in a few hours easy.

I trolled a black ant around with my kayak for a bit and had limited success. I was trying for the hold overs in the deeper part of the lake. I switch to a Red white and blue super duper and was killing them. I did manage to catch one hold over it was about 15-16 inches I let it go. It was a brown and I prefer the taste of Rainbows. I was catch and release pretty much the whole trip I did keep one rainbow. And my dad kept about 3 of the bigger ones he caught.

Right now the lake has a ton of fish in it and they are hungry.

Goose lake is not a kid friendly lake. I would suggest 10 and older. I watched a ton of ruggers take falls the past two days. Those hills are brutal for the little ones. Near the boat launch it is fine but that is always crowded.
