My girls wanted to go fishing so we decided to hit Log Boom at around 6pm. When we arrived the front part of the dock was packed, I mean more than usual, wall to wall people and the rest of the dock was sparsely populated. We picked our peg near the two pillars that are off in the water.

The first hour was pretty rough fishing as we had nabbed only a few small Blue Gill and a few Sculpin near the dock but that was about it. We started to cast out toward the pilings and managed to hit a school of Perch. My daughters chime in unison fish on.

I don’t really remember how many Blue Gill or Sculpin they caught but it was quite a few, We managed to nab three Perch 10” or so. I really shouldn’t say we, that would be my daughters, as I was fishing I was also the knot tier, the bait cutter, the rig setter, the fish remover, etc. I managed to catch two Sculpin, on nearly as big as the hook he swallowed. All in all a fun day.
