Took an early morning trip this morning. Regardless of fishing...you can see it's beautiful being on the water as the sun comes up! Had a deer hang out in the parking lot with us when we pulled in and this one stopped for a photo opportunity.

As for fishing, it started quite slow, but a big wind moved in for a little bit and we had action with 2 Tigers in that short time the wind was gusting. The first one we didn't end up hooking up on. She took a big chomp at my friends lure right in front of us, but when he set the hook came up empty. It was easily high 30s...looked like low 40s and nice and fat. He's still looking for his first ever tiger so it was too bad.

About a half hour later I boated a tiger just under 30". The most fun of it for me was that I hooked her on a homemade spinnerbait I made with my kids! All in all a trip worth setting the alarm at 3:30 for.
