I decided to hit cassidy tonight, Ive been on a 12 day streak might as well keep it going. I started right off heading north of the boat launch and start throwing texas rigged watermelon worm, no hits, worked the shoreline throwing worms and crank baits. May have had a really nice hit on the out side of the pads with the crank bait, cause I was reeling and I just felt a nasty tug and wheat felt like a headshake., I thought it might have been bottom, but when i reeled up it didnt have any weeds or slime on it. I dont know, I take off the front hook on my crankbaits. But continued working my way up the shoreline. So after about 30 minutes, I just decided to head to the north side. threw everything again, switching colors, frogs, rapala, top water, No bass. I was hearing alot of fish rising in the pads, So I switched over to fishing for crappie. I was rigging a half crawler texas rig under a strike indicator and tossing into the edge of the pads, I was knocking out the perch, feeding my eagle buddy a couple good ones. i was trolling a night crawler with no weight right aganist the shore as well, ans managaed some big 8 9 inch perch,. fished all over the place, Got to the fallen trees and was starting to get crappie on full night crawlers, they wanted big bait today. got a few crappie decent size about 6 and 9 inchers, one largemouth about 4 inches HAWG. and dozens fat perch. Another good day on my local water.
