I hit the waters early today. I had a couple of things that I wanted to try. First, I wanted to see if my boilie soak made a difference. Not a lick. Second, I ordered some commercial boilies, I didn’t pre-bait with them so I didn’t think it would really work but there is always a shot. These didn’t work either, except that I did catch a crayfish, or rather he was so greedy that he didn’t even let the boilie go as I pulled him up from the water. Third, I also ordered Carp pellets; they are actually much cheaper than chumming with corn and this did work. Within five minutes the spot that I had chummed was swarming with large bubbles and tail swirls. I think if I would have had corn on my hair rig I would have hooked a few but I didn’t have any left as this was the end of my session.
