After Goose Lakes debacle, went to Lind Coulee. Found the big bluegill, using small worms, suspending at about 12 feet, in 15-18' of water. Caught about 40, give or take 2. Lost track when while fighting a hefty bluegill, a carp called me on my other line. That was followed by 2 catfish (small, under 6 lbs). No crappie, but several small smallmouth and perch. Nice way to save a trip. Best I could do with the bluegill was to show them on my very wet pantleg (Forgot the waders!) to show size. All fish C&R this time.

Hey F.C. I remember as a kid fishing sportsmen park catching carp all day long. What fun that was I think that's what hook me on fishing for life Take care God bless.

1&2: Thanks!
3: Tour. 4lb test again. I keep having to replace the line almost every trip. These big fish take all the stretch out, then I'm asking for a break-off.
4: ( #'s are easier!) Bluegills, crappie, perch, carp, trout for my fishing infancy. Mostly out of Potholes. Then Bass, sturgeon, pike, and walleye to cement the deal. Toss in some bottomfishing in salt, and I was fully addicted!
God Bless y'all!

I was noticing the jeans, pontoon boat combination as was LordOfTheFly. Wondering if you were somehow staying completely dry?

LOTF: Not as hardcore as my first float tube adventure on Banks Lake. My friend and I went in March, and while I had waders, he used the lower part of a wetsuit. When he started turning literally blue, I suggested we build a fire. Close to 45 years ago!
MB:
I was wet on my legs, but my pocketbook and other important things to keep dry, were dry. It was hot enough I was thankful. I have gone without and kept all but my feet dry, in cooler weather.

NICE report, i love the bluegills. How did you suspend the worms? with a bobber? I would love to try it some time, i have been using jiggys home made jigs when i go out after bass fishng and catching lots of panfish. It is so much fun. I cought 5 species my last outing. Fun stuff.

BD: Suspend with a bobber a little too small for the jig, or use a slip bobber. I agree on the fun!
