Thought I would hit up Lost Lake this morning and test out the wheels I just put on my new boat. Started fishing around 6:00 a/m throwing a top water Rapala. No takers with that so I switched up to a craw pattern crankbait and got bit right away. Caught about 7or8 with that all about 1lb. Targeted the pads after that with a watermelon jig with a craw trailer. Threw the jig into the pads and pulled it over the top until it got to the edge and let it sink. This produced about a dozen more LMB with the largest at 1lb 8oz. "the one in the pic".
Jig fishing is is something I never really gave a chance until about a month ago. One trip all I brought was several jigs and left the other tackle in the truck. Glad I did cause it helped me learn another type of presentation.
My boat is a homemade design and built it with 1/2" MDO plywood. It measure 4' wide by 8' long. I couldn't be happier with the way she moves through the water and how stable it is. I can stand up, walk around, even can stand in the corners.
The wheels make it really easy to roll right in the water to launch. Don't have any pics of the wheels but added a pic of my boat. I named it "Lil Viv" after my granddaughter.
