The grandkids have been asking to go fishing, so we decided to try Clear Lake for some Kokanee. We arrived at about 3:00 in the afternoon with a sunny sky, and little or no wind. Trolled our way around the lake targeting 20 to 25 feet in depth, with the north and west sides of the lake yielded the most action. My grandaughter using the pink Barbie pole, picked up a 13" Kokanee on a pink mini wedding ring baited with pink maggots behind a pink splatter dodger (she likes pink!). My grandson using the "orange pole" (he likes orange!) caught a 12" Kokanee on the same pink mini wedding ring behing a chrome sling blade. In all we landed 3 fish and lost a few more before the kids were too hot and antsy to fish any more. Good times on Clear Lake.
