Did a day hike into Stuart lake, I threw a black rooster tail for about 30 min. Had to let it sink down before bringing it in. I caught 5 cuts ranging in size from 12in to bait size ha ha ha. As it usually goes my gf only caught 1 but it was a nice 13in cut. She was using salmon eggs on a bright colored jig. Released all fish caught. Heading back up in Aug for a 4 day backpacking trip, going to hit up Stuart, and Colchuck. Weather was beautiful along with the fish, great color and they were fiesty.
