We'd been talking about getting our schedules to align so we could try an evening bite. Today was that day.
We fished from 5-10:15pm. Decided to have dinner in the boat, so barbecued hamburgers while relaxing on the water.
The weather was sunny, and the lake was calm. An occasional very light breeze evolved into glassy calm at dusk.
Beautiful!!

We each had a bunch of new top water lures and hoped they would be the magic evening hot lure. But not today...only a few nibbles on them and perhaps one hook up between the three of us. Instead small to medium cranks baits were popular all evening, including after dusk. What was fun was as the sun went down the bass had moved away from shore and we were catching them out in the "middle of no where".

Crawdad styles and a vintage Rebel Little R were the most popular lures. P. actually broke away from worm fishing and did well catching and releasing 19. K. boated 11 and I claim big fish and most fish with 24 boated.

Can't wait til next time.
